jyothi + sean will soon have a new addition to their family! they are in for a big surprise since they decided not to know the sex of their first baby. i would go crazy not knowing, but it’s going to be that much more exciting once he/she sees his/her parents for the first time.

congratulations jyothi + sean!
a little slice of heaven, brian and ali’s stunning wedding, of course.

One for the newlyweds, justin and jennifer, from their wedding yesterday at Hammock Beach!

so yes, i have to admit i am a big fan of first looks. but let’s pack up that dress and fly to dc for a first look…YES PLEASE!
dc holds a special place for kristin. in the beginning of her relationship with mark, she spent a lot of time flying back and forth there. she would always text pictures of the city and “wishing you were here with me”. Meanwhile Mark was patiently at home, “waiting for my angel to fly back to me”. awwww. so she approached us with the idea to do a first look there. we were IN! we were shooting for the cherry blossom season. kristin loves her some cherry blossoms. and out of all the times she had been to dc, she had never been during when the blooms where out.
since they (not sure who “they” are…i guess the state?) had a very warm winter, we did miss the cherry blossom season by a week or so. but we did find one lone tree…and we rocked the heck out of it! so maybe next year, we can do an anniversary sesh there with the blooms? who knows

hot stuff!

falling petals <3

thomas jefferson memorial. wind, shoes, steps…heart flutters.

more pitter patter.

a little sneak peek from yesterday’s wedding for the newlyweds, brian and ali!

ok so we secretly REALLY hoped that abby and randi would ask us to be their wedding photographers, once we heard about their engagement. AND THEY DID!! we are looking forward to their wedding, in october, at one of our favorite venues, palm valley gardens!
Abby and I share the same favorite color, purple. But even more favorite is when it is encased in a jewel.

randi is a little bit of a fan of the braves.

man my hair is getting long.

beau having been an engineer in his past life, he is always observant when it comes to the details, like your engagement ring is angled juuuust right (:

oh how I do love this mug! btw he is not growing his hair back out, his razor is “broken”.

i have known erica since we were wee little ones. we lived across the street from each other and our mothers had become best friends. so naturally we became fast friends. she was my little tomboy friend and i was always trying to dress her up. once i gave her long (did i mention that it was long) hair the BEST cut ever. the result of my masterpiece was lovely crooked bangs…the day before picture day at school. i can’t believe i am still alive to tell that story.
erica and i have been through so much together. she knows me better than anyone, maybe even beau. she is a best friend that will last a lifetime and i love her to the moon and back. i am so thrilled for her, larry and her first little man, alex!! soon they will become 3 men and a lady.

awww

alex is going to be the best big brother.

my favorite, caught by beau

scot and jenn are some of the most sweetest people you will ever meet. we were excited to hear that they were renting a house right on the beach for a private ceremony. they invited their closest friends and family to watch them seal their vows that they have been so anxiously awaiting. they infused their gothic style with their love of the water, its always nice to see couples’ personalities peaking through on their wedding day.

they chose to do a first look. i could go on and on about why we love shooting first looks, but the reactions are always the best!

scot said “im definitely going to cry and lose my man card” AND he did cry, but it was so sweet. and im pretty sure he is still holding on strong to his man card.

i presume that a lot of brides may think that their future husband won’t be emotional to see them walk down the aisle if they do a first look. i can contest this is not the case. especially with scot.

their first dance, just after sunset. love.

sparkler exit!
